Technical description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

scsi: ufs: Fix a deadlock in the error handler

The following deadlock has been observed on a test setup:

- All tags allocated

- The SCSI error handler calls ufshcd_eh_host_reset_handler()

- ufshcd_eh_host_reset_handler() queues work that calls

ufshcd_err_handler()

- ufshcd_err_handler() locks up as follows:

Workqueue: ufs_eh_wq_0 ufshcd_err_handler.cfi_jt

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2021-47622?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2021-47622 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
