Technical description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

fbdev: smscufx: fix error handling code in ufx_usb_probe

The current error handling code in ufx_usb_probe have many unmatching

issues, e.g., missing ufx_free_usb_list, destroy_modedb label should

only include framebuffer_release, fb_dealloc_cmap only matches

fb_alloc_cmap.

My local syzkaller reports a memory leak bug:

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2022-49741?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2022-49741 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
