Technical description
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete 4.0.0.0, HD Mod 3.808 build 9, and Demo 1.0.0.0 via malicious .h3m map files that exploit object sprite name parsing logic. The vulnerability occurs during in-game map loading when a crafted object name causes a buffer overflow, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires the victim to open a malicious map file within the game.

Check the references section for vendor advisories, patches, and mitigation guidance. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.
How CyberStrike helps
Reason, not just scan
It reasons through your app's logic the way a human pentester would, so it finds flaws signature scanners miss.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2025-34124?
CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2025-34124 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
