Overview
CVE-2025-68229 is a known-severity vulnerability. It was published on December 16, 2025.
Technical description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: tcm_loop: Fix segfault in tcm_loop_tpg_address_show()
If the allocation of tl_hba->sh fails in tcm_loop_driver_probe() and we
attempt to dereference it in tcm_loop_tpg_address_show() we will get a
segfault, see below for an example. So, check tl_hba->sh before
dereferencing it.
Unable to allocate struct scsi_host

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2025-68229?
CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2025-68229 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
