Technical description

Versions of the package jsrsasign before 11.1.1 are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature via the DSA domain-parameter validation in KJUR.crypto.DSA.setPublic (and the related DSA/X509 verification flow in src/dsa-2.0.js). An attacker can forge DSA signatures or X.509 certificates that X509.verifySignature() accepts by supplying malicious domain parameters such as g=1, y=1, and a fixed r=1, which make the verification equation true for any hash.

Remediation

Check the references section for vendor advisories, patches, and mitigation guidance. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2026-4600?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2026-4600 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
