Technical description

F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Svc::GenericHub fromBufferDriver_handler deserialization is vulnerable because the receive handler uses FW_ASSERT for externally influenced deserialization status and type validation and permits a command payload size subtraction to underflow. When an unauthenticated inter-processor hub peer sends a truncated buffer, an invalid HubType, or a header-only command-dispatch payload, malformed hub traffic aborts or resets the process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0.

Remediation

Check the references section for vendor advisories, patches, and mitigation guidance. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2026-92150?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2026-92150 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
